RACINE, Wis. ̶ As part of its ongoing commitment to help agriculture producers Be Ready to address the challenges and opportunities confronting the agriculture industry, Case IH awarded nine new Farmall® tractors to the runners-up of the 2012 American Farm Bureau Federation (AFBF) Young Farmers & Ranchers (YF&R) awards. One of those tractors, a Case IH Farmall 65A, was recently delivered to Chad and Julie Carlton of Aragon, Ga., for being a national finalist for the YF&R Achievement Award.

The winners, announced at the AFBF's 93rd Annual Meeting on January 9 in Honolulu, Hawaii, were selected based on the success of their operation combined with the strength of their leadership skills.

"These finalists truly represent the kind of leadership ability farmers will need to keep up with the evolving agriculture industry," says Scott Raber, Case IH Regional Sales Director. "We are proud to sponsor them as they continue growing in this rewarding business."

The Carltons produce free-range eggs, grass-fed beef, range-fed turkeys and lamb. They market their all-natural products in the Atlanta, Ga., area. Chad Carlton says farming is both his job and hobby, and he his thankful to AFBF for their support.

"Farm Bureau has the loudest, most influential voice when issues arise in the farming community," says Carlton. "Being a finalist for the Achievement Award has been a goal of ours for several years, and we're honored to be one of this year's runners-up."

Case IH dealer Haney Farm & Ranch Supply in Rockmart, Ga., delivered the new Case IH Farmall 65A to the Carltons in January. The Carltons already own a Case IH JX80 tractor, but they are ready to add a larger tractor to their fleet.

"It is going to fit in really well," Carlton says. "I am extremely impressed with Case IH for awarding such a great prize to the competition runners-up."

Having participated in the 2008 Discussion Meet, the Carltons are familiar with AFBF's YF&R awards and they actively participate in Farm Bureau, with Chad serving as Polk County vice president. The relationships the Carltons have developed through Farm Bureau have even helped pass legislation on the state level. They are active outside Farm Bureau as well, with a 1-year-old daughter, Jersey, and participating on the Georgia Organics board.

Camilla Ground Breaking Ceremony
News - Press Releases

The ground breaking ceremony, hosted by the Mitchell County Development Authority, for the new Camilla AIMTRAC facility was held Wednesday, February 10. The new dealership will be over 26,000 sq. feet and will include a parts distribution warehouse, an extensive service area capable of handling all brands of equipment, an indoor equipment showroom, as well as a training facility for staff.  AIMTRAC will open its doors to local organizations to host meetings, events and customer-related seminars in a clean and comfortable climate-controlled environment. We expect to finalize construction by fall 2011, weather permitting.

Dusty Patterson, the Regional Development Manager for CASE IH and Tom Owen, Director of Network Development for CASE IH, approached the former Director of the Mitchell County Development Authority (MCDA), Marilyn Royal, in September 2008 about opportunities for investment in Mitchell County, as well as available land. After careful consideration, they decided the ideal location for a new agricultural dealership was on Hwy 37, known locally as “Ag Row”.

Case IH selected Mitchell County because of the vast acreage in agriculture, strong diversity of crops, high farm income and access to irrigated acres for consistent crop yields.  AIMTRAC and Case IH believe that by installing a “best in class operation”, growers will welcome a higher level of customer service and partner with a company offering progressive solutions to help them enhance their operations.

In the fall of 2009, Case IH presented a dealership plan to Tommy Hilliard and Marilyn Royal for a new dealership group that Case IH was preparing to install in South Georgia. Under confidentiality, MCDA worked with Case IH and AIMTRAC founders to help locate and acquire the business formerly known as T&T Ag Parts and Service, as well as additional land adjacent to the property. With approval from Brian Weaver (Sales Director for Case IH) and Nick Mast (CNH Capital), AIMTRAC began operations in Camilla this past fall. The location is staffed with several Mitchell County natives, including Timmy and Tony Harrell leading the service and parts departments, as well as Clayton Bullard and Graham Ginn in sales.

Once completed, AIMTRAC will provide an atmosphere for supporting Southwest Georgia agriculture and related affiliations like nothing the area has seen before.  It fully demonstrates Mitchell County’s support of new agricultural businesses and certifies AIMTRAC’s investment and dedication to surpassing the expectations of the growers and producers of Mitchell County and South Georgia.

It is because of the dedication to its citizens that the Mitchell County Development Authority played such a key role in both procuring the location and providing input as to how to best meet the needs of the agriculture industry of Mitchell County. We want to express our gratitude to all of those involved in getting us to this point and to make a promise that we intend to not only be a successful contributor to the community but one of its strongest assets.

News - Press Releases

 gyf display

Proud supporters of the Georgia Young Farmers organization, Aimtrac participated in the 41st annual convention on January 28-29 in Savannah, Georgia at the Savannah Marriott Riverfront. A Magnum 225 CVT Tier IV was on display, as well as an informative booth inside the show room.

Understanding the importance of educating and nurturing the future growers of America, Case IH was an original supporter of the Georgia Young Farmers Association. The signature red jackets were given to the officers in the mid 70's in honor of their important contribution to the farming industry.

At Aimtrac, it is our goal to bring the Southeast into the new era of technological farming ahead of the game. We want you to be ready!
